Since the introduction of metro rail in Delhi it has changed the face of transport in Delhi. People now prefer this comfortable mean of transport over any other mode of transport such as buses, traditional railway network and private mode of transportations like cars and two wheelers. It has eased the load of traffic on Delhi roads by significant amount and has reduced the traveling time in Delhi and NCR very much. It has also boosted the real estate prices where it has stations. Keeping this fact in mind the chief minister of Haryana has promised to bring metro to Sonipat. He has stated that as soon as metro reaches Narela he will propose the extension of metro to Sonipat and the state will bear the cost of metro line on their side.

The proposed metro connectivity to Sonipat will be extended from the Rithala line and will pass from Narela, Jatheri, Livan, Diwan Hotel, Fazilpur, sector 16, sector 15 and sector 14. This metro connectivity will change the real estate scenario of Sonipat and will attract many new projects to the area. This will bring Delhi closer to Sonipat and the migration rate of people of Sonipat to Delhi will decrease drastically as the daily traveling will be easier. Also the project will present numerous job opportunities in Sonipat as this will boost new business opportunities in the area. This means that it is the best timing to invest in properties in Sonipat as property prices are bound to increase as soon as the metro reaches Sonipat.
